Shocking Rape in Muzaffarpur: West Bengal Woman Endures Brutal Attack
A disturbing incident has come to light in Muzaffarpur, where a young woman from West Bengal was subjected to a horrific rape. Her condition worsened, leading to her admission to a private hospital. Miscreants reportedly brought her to the facility after the assault.
West Bengal Woman Raped in Muzaffarpur
The victim, who hails from West Bengal, was brought to a private hospital in Ahiappur. She was in a critical state after the ordeal. Upon regaining consciousness, she was able to inform the hospital staff about the assault. The hospital operator then promptly alerted the police.
Police Investigation Underway
Following the alert, the police took the victim to SKMCH (Shrikrishna Medical College and Hospital). There, her statement was officially recorded. The victim provided crucial details about the events that transpired.
Deception and Abuse on Valentine’s Day
According to her statement, the victim had befriended a man named Sameer Raj, also known as Shehban, on Facebook. He had invited her from West Bengal to Muzaffarpur. The invitation came on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. Sameer Raj allegedly held her captive in a house in Bakhri and subjected her to repeated rape.
False Promises and Extortion
On February 15th, Sameer Raj reportedly contacted the victim’s son. He promised to take them both to Chennai. However, these promises were not kept. Instead, the abuse continued. The victim became distressed and asked to be sent home.
Threats and Further Assault
Sameer Raj then told the victim he would send her home by train. He contacted his friend, Sushil Kumar. The victim reported that Sushil Kumar began threatening to sell her son. They also demanded money from her. Frightened by these threats, she managed to arrange Rs 10,000 from her husband. After receiving the money, the accused raped her again.
Hospitalization and Escape
When the victim’s condition deteriorated significantly, Sameer Raj admitted her to a private hospital. This hospital is located on NH-57. He left her there in an unconscious state and fled the scene. The police are now investigating this aspect of the crime.
Efforts to Apprehend Suspects
The police have confirmed that the crime scene is being thoroughly investigated. Based on the victim’s detailed statement, efforts are actively underway to arrest the accused individuals. SI Pramod Prasad stated that the operator of the private hospital will be summoned for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
