PM Modi Slams Congress Over Pulwama, Vows Stronger India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke in Assam today. He mentioned the Pulwama attack. This happened on its anniversary. The Prime Minister said India punished terrorists strongly. He also talked about development in Northeast India. PM Modi criticized the Congress party. He said they support terrorists.

PM Modi remembered the soldiers lost in the Pulwama attack. He said India showed its strength to the world. He also mentioned a recent operation in Pahalgam. PM Modi asked if Congress could make such brave decisions. He said Congress leaders protect those who enter the country illegally. He accused Congress of appeasing terrorists. He stated Congress dreams of breaking India apart. He warned people to be careful of Congress.

Congress Accused of Division

The Prime Minister compared today’s Congress to the Muslim League. He said both worked to divide the country. He called today’s Congress the ‘Muslim League Maoist Congress’. He urged people to be alert.

Focus on Development and Northeast

PM Modi highlighted development work in Northeast India. He said the BJP government prioritizes development. He listed many projects. He also inaugurated the Bhaskar Setu.

Northeast as ‘Ashtalakshmi’

The Prime Minister called the Northeast ‘Ashtalakshmi’. This means it is a source of wealth and prosperity. He said the recent budget supports this vision. He mentioned Assam will get about ₹50,000 crore in taxes. This is five times more than during Congress rule. He said Assam received only ₹10,000 crore then. Over the last 11 years, Assam got over ₹5.50 lakh crore for projects.

Boosting Connectivity and Tourism

The budget focuses on improving Northeast connectivity. This will create more jobs. Thousands of crores are planned for Assam’s highways and roads. The Prime Minister also spoke about promoting river tourism. He mentioned the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ event held on a Brahmaputra cruise. He said such tourism will grow.

Honoring Assam’s Culture and People

PM Modi praised Assam’s culture and faith. He mentioned the Kamakhya Temple. He thanked its blessings. He honored Kabindra Purkayastha, a Padma Award recipient. He said many people from the Northeast have received Padma awards since 2014. This shows the region’s great potential. This potential is key to a developed India.

BJP’s Grassroots Strength

The Prime Minister thanked BJP workers. He said their hard work brought the party success. He believes in the strength of the organization. He said meeting grassroots workers is a great fortune. Their motto is ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai!’
