Tata Motors Launches Jharkhand’s Premier High-Tech Driving Institute: A Rs 22 Crore Leap Forward

Jharkhand is set to gain its first high-tech driving institute. The state government has approved a Rs 22 crore project. This will be located in Govindpur, Jamshedpur. Tata Motors will operate the institute. This move aims to boost the transport sector. It also seeks to connect young people with jobs. The state cabinet has given its nod to the plan. The institute is expected to open soon.

State-of-the-Art Driver Training Institute

This new institute will be the most advanced of its kind in Jharkhand. It will be built and run through a public-private partnership. The central government, state government, and Tata Motors are contributing funds. The total cost is Rs 22 crore. The central government is providing Rs 17 crore. The state government’s share is Rs 3.21 crore. Tata Motors will contribute Rs 1.82 crore.

Tata Motors will manage the institute’s operations. They will use their global expertise. This ensures training meets high standards. Road safety will be a key focus. Experts will lead the training programs.

Modern Facilities on 11.88 Acres

The institute will cover about 11.88 acres. It is situated in Manpita Mouza, Govindpur. The training will go beyond basic driving skills. It will use modern technology. Key features include:

  • Driving Simulators: Trainees can practice in a safe, virtual environment. This builds confidence before real-world driving.
  • Smart Classrooms: Digital tools will teach traffic rules and road safety. Learning will be engaging and effective.
  • Advanced Testing Track: Separate tracks will be available. These are designed for testing both heavy and light vehicles.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Training: Drivers will learn basic vehicle upkeep. This includes fixing common technical faults.
