The cost of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has jumped by Rs 60. In Delhi, this means a price hike from Rs 853 to Rs 913. These new rates took effect on March 7.

However, India currently holds enough reserves of crude oil, petrol, diesel, and LPG. Oil companies are also boosting imports from nations outside the Gulf region to cover any supply gaps.

A senior official assured that India’s energy supply is stable. He noted that India has more energy sources than those affected by the Strait of Hormuz situation. The nation has ample stock of crude oil, oil products, and LPG. Any shortages will be managed by increasing imports from other countries if needed.
